Our gay holiday rental apartments/lodgings are set in the beautiful Axarquia region of the Malaga province of Spain but are only 30 minutes from the Costa del Sol and its gay naturist beaches.
Although our rental apartments and guesthouse are close to both Malaga and Granada airports, the Axarquia region is still an unspoilt region of the Costa del Sol, where small white pueblos nestle into the countryside. Of particular note is the hilltop village of Comares with its great views and charming cobbled alleyways. The delightful old town of Frigiliana has also been beautifully preserved. Visits to both these pueblos can be combined with walks into the surrounding countryside.
Also nearby is the historic town of Antequera with its magnificent Moorish fort, ancient churches, Roman ruins and dolmens (Bronze Age burial chambers). Surrounding the Axarquia region are the mountain ranges of the Sierra de Camarolos (in the north), the Montes de Malaga (west), the Sierra de Alhama, Tejeda and Almijara (east), with the coast to the south.
Los Curriches is close to the excellent motorway network, so it is ideally placed to visit the historic cities of Malaga, Granada, Cordoba and Sevilla. The coastal towns of Nerja, Maro and Torre del Mar are quickly reached via the A356 (the road which runs east from Casabermeja, past Lake Viñuela, down to the coast). And the costal resorts to the west (such as Torremolinos, Marbella and Benalmedina) are easily reached from Los Curriches via the A45 and A7 motorways.
